The IIT 16690 Trailer Converter is a basic trailer converter, allowing operation of trailer lights including running lights, brake lights, and turn signal lights. It is easy to install and does not require a 12-volt power source from the battery. However, it only goes from 5 wire to 4 wire and not the other way around. The product worked on a 2002 Toyota Tundra and a 2013 Toyota Prius, but did not work for a 2014 Harley Davidson FLSTC. It should work on a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, although one customer reported that it burned out after a few hours. The four-way flashers did not work for one customer, but overall, the unit works well and is a great product for the price.
