The Westar CD-7720 Suspension Air Compressor is an aftermarket compressor replacement for vehicles that have a suspended air compressor. The air compressor is preferred as a direct replacement for the original equipment compressors that are unavailable. The reviewer has rebuilt GM compressors for years and knows its design and operations. However, upon purchasing the Westar CD-7720, the reviewer found that there was a leak around the compressor dryer outlet and OEM air line. After checking everything, the reviewer discovered that the dryer outlet had an ID that was too large, causing leaks. They also discovered that there was an air leak between the compressor's cylinder and head assembly. The problem was resolved by replacing the Westar dryer with an OE GM dryer from their stock which fit fine, as the Westar dryer is 'inferior' and is Made in China. Despite these issues, another reviewer found success in purchasing the Westar CD-7720, saving $30 compared to a retailer, and restoring their car's suspension.
