This stand has a shelf made of hard metal that supports sheet music and books. The working space can go completely parallel to the ground, which makes it very versatile. However, it only has a lip that is about 1 inch at the bottom of the support that holds your papers, so it's best to not put more than 18 pounds of weight on it. It is 19 inches across and can fit two sheets of paper at once. It's great for a child to use too but squeezing 3 sheets on 19 inches might be clumsy for them.
