With 45-degree bearing edges and Suspension Tom Mounts, the shells resonate freely while maintaining precise tuning and stability through the most demanding performances. 10 and 12 rack toms, a 16 floor tom, 22 kick drum, and 14 snare drum round out this extraordinary kit. HVX Shells Provide a Solid Foundation At the heart of this DW kit are eight-ply HVX shells, handcrafted in DW's California custom shop. Their unique ply configuration and grain orientation produce a fat, punchy tone with outstanding projection. The kick and snare shells use an even more robust 10-ply construction for maximum low-end and sensitivity. Overall, the HVX shells give this kit a voice that cuts through on stage while maintaining nuance and warmth.
