- Algae D-Solv is a fast-acting, broad-spectrum pond algaecide that effectively controls many different types of algae, including planktonic “green water†algae, filamentous “string/hair†algae, and blanketweed pond scum mats. It’s perfect for eliminating existing algae blooms for a cleaner and clearer pond. Algae D-Solv is safe for koi, goldfish, and other pond fish when used as directed. Fish-safe formula contains no copper sulfate and will not harm fish, decorative plants, livestock, pets, or wildlife such as frogs, turtles, and birds. Do not use Algae D-Solv pond algae remover with snails, shrimp, clams, or other crustaceans and mollusks. Our easy-to-use pond algae remover concentrate fixes algae problems fast. Apply one ounce of Algae D-Solv per 360 gallons of pond water. Algae D-Solv is an EPA-registered algaecide in an easy-to-apply liquid formula for pond algae control. Simply pour it evenly around the pond’s edge or into an area with the greatest circulation. Do not use more than the recommended dose. Once pond algae blooms are gone, weekly doses control algae growth and reduce pond maintenance. Algae D-Solv dissolves algae in fountains, self-contained freshwater aquariums, large fish tanks, backyard ponds, rubber-lined water gardens, water features, pondless waterfalls, fishponds, and decorative ponds without any outflow. We highly recommend removing excess algae with a skimmer or net before your pond water treatment. Reducing algae will produce better results with fewer treatments while minimizing decaying organic matter, resulting in less oxygen loss.   FAQs  Does Algae D-Solv only work on string algae?  Algae D-Solv effectively eliminates many different types of algae, including green water, string or hair algae, and blanketweed. Algae D-Solv offers fast-acting, broad-spectrum algae control.  Does Algae D-Solv work without aeration?  We highly recommend using Algae D-Solv only with heavy aeration, such as a decorative fountain, waterfall, or bottom-diffused aerator. Aeration must be continuous. During warm weather with high water temperatures, vigorous, 24-hour aeration is required. High water temperatures cause more rapid decay of dead algae, which can cause fish distress. When algae die off, it may cause oxygen levels to drop quickly to harmful levels if adequate aeration is not provided.  Will this algae remover harm my fish?  Algae D-Solv can be used in ponds that contain fish. Always use in accordance with the label directions. Do not use Algae D-Solv with snails, shrimp, clams, and other crustaceans or mollusks.  Can I get rid of algae without hurting my water lilies?  Yes, Algae D-Solv will not harm ornamental plants when used as directed.  How much Algae D-Solv do I need?  Use one ounce of Algae D-Solv per 360 gallons of pond or fountain water. Pour evenly around the pond edges or into an area with the greatest circulation. Do not use more than the recommended dose. Wait for a minimum of three days between treatments. Repeat dosage once per week for maintenance.
