What is Andis Blade Care Plus used for?

Andis Blade Care Plus is primarily designed to clean, lubricate, and cool clipper blades. It helps prevent rust and extends the life of your blades by keeping them in optimal condition. Regular use is crucial, especially in grooming environments or salons where clippers are frequently used. By maintaining your blades with this spray, you ensure smoother cuts and a more comfortable experience for clients or pets.

How often should I use Andis Blade Care Plus?

It is recommended to use Andis Blade Care Plus after every few uses or whenever you notice your blades getting hot or dirty. Keeping a consistent maintenance routine ensures longevity in your blades and optimal performance during grooming sessions. Additionally, a clean blade reduces the risk of skin irritations, making it essential for professional groomers and pet owners alike.

Is Andis Blade Care Plus safe for all clipper brands?

Yes, Andis Blade Care Plus is formulated to be safe for use on most types of clipper blades, regardless of the brand. However, it's always a good practice to check the blade materials and manufacturer's recommendations before application. Using a compatible product helps ensure your equipment remains in good shape and performs efficiently, particularly during those busy grooming days.

Can I use Andis Blade Care Plus on scissors?

Andis Blade Care Plus is specifically designed for clippers and their blades, not scissors. Using the spray on scissors may lead to unwanted residue and could affect their cutting performance. Always opt for products that are specifically tailored for the equipment you're using to maintain the best results and to ensure precision in your grooming tasks.

Does Andis Blade Care Plus have a scent?

Yes, Andis Blade Care Plus has a pleasant, professional-grade scent that is often appreciated by groomers. The scent not only refreshes your tools but also contributes to a more enjoyable grooming experience. It's important to ensure proper ventilation in the workspace to maintain a comfortable environment while using the product.

What is the best way to apply Andis Blade Care Plus?

To apply Andis Blade Care Plus, simply hold the can upright and spray it directly onto the running blades from a distance of about 6 inches. Allow it to dry for a moment before shutting off the clipper. This application method helps to ensure that the entire blade surface is adequately coated, promoting optimal lubrication and cooling effects which are crucial for high-performance grooming.

Can I use Andis Blade Care Plus on dirty blades?

While Andis Blade Care Plus can help clean blades, it is most effective when used on blades that have been pre-cleaned. For heavily soiled blades, it’s advisable to clean them with soap and water or a blade wash first. After they've been cleaned and dried, using Blade Care Plus will provide the necessary lubrication and cooling that helps prevent wear and tear.

Is Andis Blade Care Plus flammable?

Yes, Andis Blade Care Plus is flammable because it is an aerosol product. It is essential to store it in a cool, dry place away from heat sources, open flames, or intense sunlight. Being aware of these precautions helps ensure the safe use and storage of the product in your grooming environment.

Can I use Andis Blade Care Plus on human hair clippers?

Absolutely! Andis Blade Care Plus can be used on human hair clippers as well as pet grooming clippers. It effectively cleans and lubricates the blades, ensuring smooth performance.
