However, it is not recommended for melting copper or silver. The kit does not come with a bullet mold for .50 caliber bullets. The pot dimensions are approximately 1 inch in diameter and a half inch in depth. The dipper can hold just over 2000 grains of melted lead. Some customers have expressed frustration with the temperature control and the need to dip out of the pot, resulting in the loss of lead and the accumulation of oxides and trash. Overall, the kit is a good starter set for those interested in bullet casting.
