The Jewel Master Gold Plating System is an immersion plating kit that works on conductive surfaces. According to the product FAQ, the kit can be used for plating onto nickel, copper, brass, bronze, steel, stainless steel and any variation of those types of metals. In terms of plating onto aluminum, customers must first have it nickel plated by a plating company, as plating will not adhere to aluminum without going through a special process. The gold solution provided with the kit contains enough gold to plate approximately 800 square inches of area with a normal decorative gold plating thickness. Replacement of the solution can easily be done using our replenisher for 24K, 18K, 14K Bright Gold Solutions, which contains one-gram gold to plate about 320 square inches to a normal decorative thickness.
