- Michael Moonwalk and the School of Lotus Flowers (Volume 1: The Promise) is a story about an 11 year old boy named Michael who has “The Gift”. “The Gift” is a supernatural power Michael possesses. And whenever he inhales the magical aroma of the Lotus Flower his “Gift” becomes more powerful. Michael is enrolled in a school with other students who also possess “The Gift.” However Michael has a major problem. Michael cannot control his Gift. Michael causes earthquakes, mudslides, and even freezes the Lake of Good Fortune, which almost injures other students. Michael cannot even control his bowel movement. When he uses the bathroom toilet, Michael’s bowel movement floods the schools entire water system. However, Michael finds hope through his teacher’s at the School. And from his Dad who tells Michael “Don’t use challenges as an excuse to fail, use challenges as motivation.” And Michael learns about “The Promise” of using his “Gift” to help others.
